Adelaide Schaeffer is the founder and executive director of Champions for Kids, an organization working to inspire and equip MILLIONS of people to BE Champions for Kids by providing training and resources to help them ensure children receive the priority of attention, care, and opportunity they deserve. Schaeffer founded Champions for Kids in 2004 in response to an alarming awareness of millions of children in America, and the world, who suffer violence, abuse, and neglect. The solution to improving the lives of children is to mobilize MILLIONS of people to be a part of the solution. Champions for Kids works to do this primarily by developing innovative partnerships with global companies such as Abbott Nutrition, Henkel, Walmart, and Disney. Schaeffer earned her undergraduate degree in journalism and marketing from the University of Arkansas, completed a Masters of Theological Studies at Emory University, a Masters in Education from Boston College, and a Masters in Public Administration degree from Harvard University in 2009. Mrs. Schaeffer and her husband Rick have been married for 27 years and live in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
